With activeItemLinks we offer you a solution, which turns your ‚passive’ Livelink into an ‚active’ Enterprise Content Management.

A Livelink-out-of-the-box’ offers the user numerous assignments which they need to tend to and important information which they require for their work.

These work-related items, however, are hidden in a number of sub-menus and need to be retrieved in a number of single steps by the user.

An onerous and, most importantly, time-intensive work, which each user has to undertake several times during a workday! Additionally, there is the risk that the user may overlook important tasks or information.

The application activeItemLinks provides you with the Active Dashboard which allows a condensed view of

·         your open tasks,

·         the status of all workflows that were initiated by you,

·         which workflows require an action by you,

·         all recently opened documents,

·         the documents that are reserved/checked out by you and have not yet been returned to the system,

·         results of different agents

·         the most recently viewed objects, including the directory structure

This view is automatically provided for each user both in the Enterprise and their Personal workspace. It is also automatically updated at each visit to those workspaces!

activeItemLinks  thus helps to save valuable labor time at each workplace!

An additional disadvantage of the use of default Livelink is the fact that the documents are stored in hierarchical tree structures. This forces the user to mainly navigate into the sub-folders in which the document is located.

Once the subdirectory is left and the users want to open the same
document a second time, they have to painfully re-navigate through the whole structure.

With the assistance of activeItemLinks, the user can spare themselves this trouble! A selection of the most recently visited items is displayed as shortcuts.

On the one hand the user can thus repeat their most recent actions, such as e.g. Browse or Edit of a document, by a simple mouse click. On the other hand, they can reach their most recently visited folders by a simple mouse click. activeItemLinks thus generates a second view on the recently visited items. An advantage that also saves valuable labor time for each user.
